From here you can pick up river cruises to view the wildlife and nature reserves or take the ferry across to Orford Ness. Here you can see the classic red and white striped lighthouse before it falls into the sea and visit the impressive remains of the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment. These both sit on one of the most important shingle spits for wildlife in the UK, a unique habitat.In the evening, as the sun sets, the Quay carpark is a fantastic place to watch the sun set, you can get some lovely views and photos as the sun disappears. Classic big sky settings. Enjoy the peace and quiet and listen to the birds.
Very convenient, need lots of change if staying all day. Lots of space and public loos very handy.
