My time at Farlingaye is what one would call a mixed bag. Throughout my Years 7 & 8, I found myself being harassed by another member of my form group as well as others - Little to no action was taken over this, and teachers seemed to have no idea about it even when it was raised to them - I would like to add that "daily reports" or whatever they were called do not work in the slightest to correct my problems. It is apparent that the teachers are clearly unaware as to what does solve problems, as all the methods that would work seemed to be avoided at all costs. I began to worry when, in Year 9, a DEPUTY HEAD teacher looked at me and just said to me "What do you expect me to do about it?". Clearly a little amount of care for what can spiral into serious issues. During Year 11 whilst I was receiving harassment from my peers during a lesson, I felt the only option was to take time out of that lesson - thus impacting my final GCSE grades. However, subject teachers I had in Year 10 and 11 were brilliant - I found them to be people I could have a joke with, and truly appreciate that they were there. However, this does not excuse the school's poor excuse for a "bullying policy/procedure", it has little to no effect and myself as well as others found that it was no use whatsoever. The school have also been extremely poor in helping people with mental health problems, and instead of attempting to help people I know (and the school is aware of their problems), they have instead berated and punished them for their actions. The school clearly is unaware how to deal with such students - But a hint for them is to not punish them, that won't help anything on your end or theirs! The newly appointed headteacher is also controlling and attempting to enforce ridiculous rules as well as developing a stricter plan to punish students - Which I will point out has had no effect on the behaviour of students. It is apparent that Ofsted need to revisit the school with a thorough investigation, because if this is "Outstanding", I hate to see what "Good" is.

this school is the most disgusting when it comes to teachers, there are some teachers that care but most don't. and it is the most horrific school ever, you have no freedom to do anything and get told of for the smallest things. even the students are horrible and teachers do nothing about bullying.wish i could rate -1000 stars

overrated AF. facilities are awful compared to kesgrave/copleston etc. only care about results and not the wellbeing or happiness of students. BULLYING AND RACISM IS SO BAD HERE. teachers do nothing.

Gets you the grades but, with some of the teachers there, I have no clue how... Better than most comprehensives though.

I Believe the school is decent and teachers are nice and witty but when bully is a problem they don't really know how to stop it and end up punishing the wrong students or doing nothing because of how they set up to deal with a problem they rarely account for past actions of student and are easily accepting of what students say and not hard evidence however they are very good at getting students to focus on the lessons and use fair punishment However if this improves i will update what i think of this school
